Using GeoLead

What is a Google Maps scraper, and what data can I get?

A Google Maps scraper is a tool that searches Google Maps for businesses matching a category and location, then extracts their public listing data into a structured, downloadable format instead of you copying it out by hand.

How do I export my leads to CSV or Excel?

Once a search job finishes, open it from your Jobs list and click "Download CSV" or "Download XLSX" — both are generated on demand and include exactly the fields you requested when you set up the search, plus any enrichment columns (clearly labeled "Best-Effort") if you turned enrichment on.

Can I search a specific area, city, or radius?

Yes. You can either drop a pin and set a radius directly on the map, or type a location (country, then state/region, then a specific area) and GeoLead will resolve it to a map position for you, with suggested search radii sized to how wide or narrow your typed area actually is.

How long does a scrape job take to complete?

Most jobs of a few dozen results finish within several minutes; larger searches with hundreds of results, or with owner-contact enrichment turned on (which visits each business's website individually), take proportionally longer.

Pricing

What's the difference between GeoLead's free-tier scraping and the paid Google Places API tier?

The free (standard) tier scrapes Google Maps' own listing pages directly and is what every account uses by default — it's fast, covers all the core fields, and is priced per lead in credits (see the pricing page). The paid tier instead calls Google's official Places API, which is more reliable and fully within Google's Terms of Service, but costs more per result since it's billed through Google.

How many free leads do I get when I sign up?

Every new GeoLead account gets 50 free leads, one time, no card required — enough to run a real search and see exactly what the exported data looks like before you decide to buy credits.

How much does GeoLead cost per lead?

GeoLead's standard tier costs $0.012 per lead (about 1.2 cents), pay-as-you-go — 1 credit equals 1 scraped business result. There's no subscription and no minimum spend; you buy a credit pack and it's used as you run search jobs.

Legal & data

Is scraping Google Maps legal?

Scraping publicly visible business listings (name, address, phone, category, rating) is generally legal in most jurisdictions, but it does go against Google's own Terms of Service, which is a real risk you should know about, not a technicality to ignore.

What is owner-contact enrichment, and how accurate is it?

Owner-contact enrichment is an optional, best-effort extra step: GeoLead visits a business's own website (homepage plus common contact/about pages) and tries to find an owner or contact name, a personal email and phone number, a personal address, and social media profile links.

How accurate is the business data GeoLead scrapes?

Core listing fields (name, address, phone, website, rating, review count, hours) come directly from Google Maps' own public listing pages, so accuracy tracks whatever Google itself currently shows for that business — generally reliable, though any source can lag behind a business's real-world changes (a moved location, a disconnected phone number, etc.).

Payments

How can I pay from Bangladesh?

Customers in Bangladesh see pricing in BDT and can pay by card, bKash, Nagad, or Rocket, all through one secure checkout page — you don't need a separate account with each wallet provider, just pick your preferred method on the payment screen.

Is my payment information secure?

Yes — GeoLead never sees or stores your card number, bKash/Nagad/Rocket PIN, or any other payment credential. All payments are handled entirely by our payment providers (Stripe, PayPal, or SSLCommerz for Bangladeshi payment methods) on their own secure, PCI-compliant checkout pages.
