Privacy Policy

This document was drafted to accurately describe how GeoLead actually works. It has not been reviewed by a qualified solicitor and should not be treated as final legal advice — please have it reviewed before relying on it for compliance purposes.

1. Who we are

GeoLead is operated at scraper.agentvue.co.uk. This policy explains what data we collect when you use GeoLead, why, and what your rights are. It's governed by the law of England and Wales.

2. Two kinds of data GeoLead handles

It's important to distinguish between two different kinds of data, because they're treated differently:

(a) Your account data — information about you as a GeoLead customer: your email, name, company name (optional), a hashed password, credit balance, billing/payment records, search jobs you've run, and activity logs (IP address, action, timestamp) kept for security and audit purposes.

(b) Scraped business data — the results of searches you run: public Google Maps business listings (name, address, phone, website, rating, etc.), and, if you opt in, best-effort "owner contact enrichment" (a name, personal email/phone/address, and social media links found on a business's own public website). This data is about third parties — the businesses you search for — not about you. GeoLead surfaces it as a search result; you, the customer, are responsible for complying with applicable data-protection and marketing-communication law (e.g. UK GDPR, PECR) when you use it, particularly for marketing outreach. Enrichment data is always best-effort and clearly labeled as such — see our FAQ on owner-contact enrichment.

3. What we collect and why

  • Account details (email, name, company, password hash) — to create and secure your account.
  • Search parameters and job history — to run your searches and let you revisit past results.
  • Credit balance and payment records (amount, currency, provider, status) — to operate the credit system. We never store your card number, PayPal credentials, or mobile-wallet PIN — those are handled entirely by our payment providers (Stripe, PayPal, SSLCommerz).
  • IP address and basic request metadata — for security, fraud prevention, and currency detection.
  • Activity logs — an audit trail of account and admin actions, kept for security purposes.

4. Cookies

GeoLead uses essential cookies only, to keep you signed in — see our Cookie Policy for details. We don't currently use advertising or third-party analytics cookies.

5. Who we share data with

We share the minimum necessary data with: our hosting provider (to run the service), MongoDB (our database), our payment providers (Stripe, PayPal, SSLCommerz — only for processing the specific payment you make), and, only for the AI-based owner-contact enrichment step you opt into, Google's Gemini API (via our own automation platform) to extract structured contact details from a business's publicly published website text. We do not sell your data to anyone.

6. Data retention

We keep account and job data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we'll delete or anonymize your personal account data within a reasonable period, except where we're required to retain records (e.g. payment records) for legal or accounting purposes.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email support@agentvue.co.uk.
