What's the difference between GeoLead's free-tier scraping and the paid Google Places API tier?
The free (standard) tier scrapes Google Maps' own listing pages directly and is what every account uses by default — it's fast, covers all the core fields, and is priced per lead in credits (see the pricing page). The paid tier instead calls Google's official Places API, which is more reliable and fully within Google's Terms of Service, but costs more per result since it's billed through Google.
Most customers only ever need the standard tier. The Places API tier is available on request for teams that need guaranteed data-source compliance for their own business reasons — contact us to enable it on your account.
